Altaq is a Brazilian company that has one division of Technical-Commercial Consultant, whose main purpose is to promote partnerships between national technology companies and abroad technology companies. Altaq operates mainly, but not only, in the area of Naval Defense Material.
Its technical staff of consultants, for the most part, are reserve officers from the Engineers Corp and retired civilian engineers from Brazilian Navy. They had their professional experience working, in general, in the Brazilian Navy Research Institute and other Institutions of the Navy General Directorate of Material.
The Brazilian Navy is demanded, due to the natural need to protect Brazilian waters and coastal territories, by means, ships and other items of naval defense, with great advanced technological content.
The Brazilian Armed Forces, in general, in their international contracts for the acquisition of their equipments and systems, aim to contemplate the participation / partnership of Brazilian technology companies. Such partnership goes from a Technology Transfer process, when the national company is technological capable to receive the Technology, to more basic technical activities such as maintenance, installation, integration, repairs, calibration, manufacturing …
Altaq has its technical staff of consultants with extensive experience in the development of Defense Material in the areas of Armament, Digital
Systems, Submarine Acoustics, Electronic Warfare, among others.
Altaq has the necessary expertise to promote / assist the Brazilian Navy and other Armed Forces in forming partnerships between Brazilian and foreign companies in their acquisition contracts, ensuring greater national content, greater promptness and less international dependence.
